A hollow barrel cave for bettas, shrimp, and nano fish.
Sunken Barrel Hide – Aquarium Decoration
Multiple openings let bettas and shrimp move in and out freely — the smooth interior edges will not snag fins or harm sensitive shrimp.
Sinks immediately and stays in place on the tank floor — made from non-toxic resin that will not cloud or discolor your water.

The barrel sinks right to the bottom and stays put without any anchoring — no floating, no repositioning after water changes. The multiple openings let fish and shrimp move in and out from different angles, which matters more than it sounds. Single-entry hides can trap fish or cause stress when they feel cornered. The open barrel design gives shrimp and bettas a way out from any direction, so they actually use it throughout the day rather than just hiding in it when scared. The interior edges are smooth and rounded so there is no risk of torn fins on a betta or injured antennae on a shrimp. Over time in a planted or mature tank, biofilm and moss will begin to coat the textured exterior surface, which helps it blend into the environment naturally and makes it look like it has always been there.
This piece works well as a single accent in a small betta tank or as one of several hides spread across a shrimp colony tank. Shrimp keepers with breeding setups often add multiple hides to give berried females a quiet spot to rest away from the main colony. Bettas will typically claim the barrel as their own and spend a significant amount of time resting just inside the opening — which is a good sign that the fish feels secure in its environment. Pair it with live or artificial plants clustered around the base to push the sunken shipwreck feel further and give shrimp more surface area to graze on.
Made from non-toxic high-density resin that will not leach into or discolor your water. Safe for all freshwater aquariums. Rinse before placing. The textured exterior can be lightly scrubbed with a soft brush during regular maintenance to remove algae buildup if preferred. Compatible with sand, gravel, and planted tank substrates. Not recommended for saltwater use.
