Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Wild Pet Supply is a brand operated by ABLEV LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company. We manufacture and sell aquarium, reptile, and invertebrate supplies, and we operate several related brands and free reference tools. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean ABLEV LLC.

This policy covers wildpetsupply.com (the "Site") and the brands sold through it, including CTWPets, AquaBoost, ReptiBoost, and Wild Pet Supply. It also covers the free tools we host, including Wild AI and PlantLab, except where a separate policy is posted on that tool.

ABLEV LLC is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Our mailing address is PO Box 085925, Racine, WI 53408, United States.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Order information. Your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and the contents of your order. Payment card details are entered into and processed by our payment providers; we receive a confirmation, the card brand, and the last four digits, but we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
• Account information. If you create an account, your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), saved addresses, order history, and any preferences you set.
• Communications. Messages you send us by email, contact form, live chat, social media, or phone, including anything you choose to include in them.
• Content you submit. Product reviews, ratings, photos, questions, and any content you post to public areas of the Site or our tools.
• Marketing sign-ups. Your email address and, if you opt in, your mobile number, along with your consent record and the date and source of that consent.
• Prompts and inputs to our tools. Text, questions, and images you submit to Wild AI, PlantLab, or other tools we host.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect information about your device and how you use the Site. We call this "Device Information." It includes:

• IP address, general location derived from that IP address (typically city or region level), browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and time zone;
• the pages and products you view, the collections you browse, search terms you enter on the Site, links you click, items you add to your cart, and how long you spend on a page;
• the website, ad, or search term that referred you to the Site, and the page you leave from;
• cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and similar identifiers assigned to your browser or device;
• order and checkout events, including abandoned carts.

Information we receive from others

• Advertising and analytics partners. Aggregate campaign performance, conversion data, and audience information from Meta, Google, Pinterest, and X.
• Marketplaces and sales channels. If you buy our products through a marketplace such as Amazon, that marketplace shares limited order information with us so we can fulfill and support your order. Your relationship with that marketplace is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.
• Service providers. Fraud and risk signals from our payment processors, delivery status from shipping carriers, and deliverability data from our email provider.

When we refer to "Personal Information" in this policy, we mean all of the categories above, together.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, software development kits, local storage, and server-side event tracking to operate the Site, understand how it is used, and measure and target our advertising. Some of these are set by us and some are set by third parties on our behalf.

The technologies we use

• Cookies are small data files stored on your device, often containing an anonymous unique identifier. You can learn more and manage them at allaboutcookies.org.
• Log files record actions on the Site, including IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps.
• Pixels, tags, and web beacons are small electronic files that record how you browse the Site and whether you completed an action such as a purchase.
• Local storage and session storage keep information in your browser, such as your cart contents and display preferences.
• Server-side event tracking sends event data, such as a completed purchase, directly from our servers to an advertising platform rather than from your browser. Where this involves matching, contact details such as your email address are hashed before transmission.
• Device and advertising identifiers assigned by your browser, operating system, or an advertising platform.

The specific services we use

We may add, replace, or remove services over time. When we do, we will update this section. Third-party services are controlled by their providers, and their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, which we link to in Section 5.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Where we display a cookie or consent banner, you can use it to accept or reject non-essential cookies and to change your choice later. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent checkout and other core features from working.

4. How we use your information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To fulfill your order. Process payment, arrange shipping, send order confirmations and tracking, handle returns, refunds, and exchanges, and provide invoices.
• To communicate with you. Answer questions, respond to support requests, send service messages about your order or account, and notify you about product or policy changes.
• To operate and improve the Site. Maintain and secure the Site, diagnose problems, understand which products and pages people find useful, develop new products, and improve our free tools.
• To screen for fraud and risk. Review orders and account activity for signs of fraud, abuse, or unauthorized use, including using your IP address.
• To market our products. Send you email and, where you have opted in, SMS messages; show you ads on Meta, Google, Pinterest, X, and other platforms; build audiences of people who resemble our customers; retarget visitors who viewed or added products but did not purchase; and measure whether our advertising works.
• To personalize your experience. Recommend products, remember your cart and preferences, and tailor the content and offers you see on the Site and in our messages.
• To run promotions. Administer sales events, discount codes, giveaways, and any contests we hold.
• To operate our tools. Process your inputs to Wild AI and our other tools in order to generate a response, and review usage in aggregate to improve accuracy and usefulness.
• To meet legal obligations. Comply with tax, accounting, product safety, consumer protection, and other applicable laws, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

5. How we share your information

We share Personal Information in the following circumstances. We do not sell your information for money, and we do not rent or trade our customer list.

• Ecommerce platform. We use Shopify to power our online store. See the Shopify privacy policy.
• Payment processors. Shopify Payments and the wallet providers shown at checkout, including Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and card networks, process your payment under their own privacy policies.
• Shipping and fulfillment. Carriers and logistics providers such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx receive the name, address, and contact details needed to deliver your order.
• Analytics providers. Google, for Google Analytics. See the Google privacy policy and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
• Advertising platforms. Meta, Google, Pinterest, X, and TikTok receive event and audience data as described in Section 3, so we can measure and target our advertising. See the Meta privacy policy, Pinterest privacy policy, X privacy policy, and TikTok privacy policy.
• Email, SMS, and support tools. Providers that send our messages and manage support conversations on our behalf.
• Review platforms. If you leave a review, the review platform we use processes your submission and displays it publicly with the name or initials you provide.
• Professional advisors and vendors. Accountants, lawyers, insurers, IT and hosting providers, and similar vendors who need access to do their work for us.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, respond to a subpoena, warrant, or other lawful request, enforce our terms, investigate fraud, or protect the rights, property, or safety of ABLEV LLC, our customers, or others.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer and any resulting change to this policy.

Our service providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us, and are required to protect it. Advertising platforms may use the data they receive for their own purposes as described in their policies, which is why we treat that sharing the way Section 7 describes.

6. Advertising and your opt-out choices

We use your Personal Information to show you advertising we believe is relevant, including ads for products you viewed but did not buy. To learn how targeted advertising works generally, see the Network Advertising Initiative's educational page.

You can opt out of targeted advertising through these platforms directly:

• Meta (Facebook and Instagram): Ad preferences
• Google: My Ad Center and ad settings
• Pinterest: Privacy and data settings
• X: Ad preferences
• Bing and Microsoft: Personalized ads
• TikTok: privacy settings in the TikTok app

You can also opt out of many participating companies at once through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out portal, the NAI's opt-out tool, or, for European users, Your Online Choices. On mobile, your device settings let you limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier.

Opting out of targeted advertising does not stop you from seeing ads. It means the ads you see are less likely to be based on your activity.

7. Sale and sharing of personal information

We do not sell your Personal Information in exchange for money. However, several U.S. state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include the disclosure of identifiers and browsing activity to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Under those definitions, our use of the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, Google Ads tracking, the Pinterest Tag, the X advertising pixel, and the TikTok Pixel may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of the following categories of Personal Information: identifiers such as cookie IDs and hashed email addresses, internet and network activity such as the pages and products you viewed, commercial information such as your purchase history, and inferences about your interests.

We disclose this to advertising and analytics partners for advertising and measurement purposes. We do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Information of anyone under 16 years of age.

To opt out, use the "Your Privacy Choices" or cookie settings link in our footer, reject advertising cookies in our banner, send a Global Privacy Control signal as described in Section 8, or email wildpetsupply@gmail.com.

8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

There is no common industry standard for how to respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, and we do not currently change our data practices in response to a Do Not Track signal.

We do recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. When your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of Personal Information for that browser, as required in California and several other states. Because the signal is tied to your browser, you will need to send it from each browser and device you use.

9. Your U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. States that currently provide these rights include California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island. We extend these rights to all U.S. residents as a matter of practice, whether or not your state requires it.

• Right to know or access. Request confirmation of whether we process your Personal Information and a copy of the specific pieces we hold, along with the categories collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose to.
• Right to correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate Personal Information.
• Right to delete. Ask us to delete Personal Information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions such as completing a transaction, meeting tax and recordkeeping obligations, or detecting fraud.
• Right to portability. Receive a copy of your Personal Information in a portable, machine-readable format where technically feasible.
• Right to opt out of sale and sharing and of targeted advertising, as described in Sections 6 and 7.
• Right to opt out of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not engage in this kind of profiling.
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information as those laws define it, beyond what is strictly necessary to provide our products and services.
• Right to non-discrimination. We will not deny you products or services, charge you a different price, or provide a lower quality experience because you exercised a privacy right.
• Right to appeal. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will respond to the appeal within the time your state's law allows, and will tell you how to contact your state attorney general if you disagree with the outcome.

How to make a request

Email wildpetsupply@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or write to us at the mailing address in Section 19. Tell us which right you want to exercise and the email address or order number associated with your information.

We will verify your identity before acting, usually by confirming details you already gave us such as an order number or the email address on your account. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by another 45 days where permitted, telling you if we do. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission that we can verify.

California "Shine the Light"

California residents may request information about our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose Personal Information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

10. Rights for EEA, UK, and Swiss residents

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, update, delete, or port your Personal Information, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened.

We process your Personal Information on these legal bases:

• Contract. To fulfill orders and provide the services you ask for.
• Legitimate interests. To secure the Site, prevent fraud, understand how our Site is used, and market our own similar products, balanced against your rights.
• Consent. For non-essential cookies, targeted advertising, and marketing messages where consent is required.
• Legal obligation. To meet tax, accounting, and other legal requirements.

Your information will be transferred outside your country, including to the United States and Canada, where we and our providers operate. Where required, these transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, and in the UK with the Information Commissioner's Office.

11. Email and SMS marketing

If you opt in, we will send you emails about new products, restocks, sales, care guides, and other news. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed. We will still send you transactional messages about your orders and account.

If you opt in to SMS, we will send marketing text messages to the number you provide. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them and HELP for help. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. We do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.

12. Accounts, Wild ID, and our free tools

You can browse and buy without an account. If you create one, you can view your order history, save addresses, and manage preferences. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. You can ask us to close your account at any time, and we will delete or de-identify the associated information except what we must retain for tax, accounting, warranty, and fraud-prevention purposes.

Where we offer a single sign-on across our properties, your account details and a record of which of our sites you have used may be shared between those properties so the login works. This lets us recognize you across our sites; it does not give any third party access to your account.

Our free tools, including Wild AI and PlantLab, are provided at no cost and without any purchase. When you use Wild AI, we process the text and any images you submit in order to generate a response, and we may retain and review conversations to improve accuracy, catch abuse, and develop the tool. Please do not enter sensitive personal information, financial details, or anything you would not want retained into these tools. Wild AI provides general information about pet care and is not veterinary advice. Consult a qualified veterinarian for the health of any animal.

13. How long we keep your information

We keep Personal Information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, and then delete or de-identify it. In practice:

• Order records are retained for at least seven years to meet tax, accounting, and warranty obligations.
• Account information is retained while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterward.
• Marketing contact details are retained until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not contact you again.
• Analytics and advertising data is retained according to each platform's settings, generally between two and twenty-six months.
• Support conversations are retained for up to three years.

We may keep information longer where required by law or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

14. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Personal Information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and PCI-compliant payment processing through our providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your Personal Information, we will notify you and any regulators as required by law.

15. Children and minors

The Site is intended for people aged 16 and over, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Information of anyone under 16.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, email wildpetsupply@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

16. Third-party links and platforms

The Site links to other websites, including social platforms, marketplaces, and reference sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. If you buy our products on a third-party marketplace, or interact with our accounts on a social platform, that platform's privacy policy governs the information it collects.

17. International visitors

We are based in the United States and operate the Site from there. If you visit from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your own.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our tools, or the law. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice, such as a banner on the Site or an email. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
