Each bag contains a finely milled powder specifically sized for isopods, millipedes, and springtails — small enough that the whole colony can feed efficiently without the waste that comes from coarser food particles that get buried or pushed aside. Sprinkle a small amount directly onto the substrate surface and your cleanup crew will find it and begin feeding within minutes. Every bag is resealable and includes a dedicated dosing spoon — two things most competing isopod foods do not include — which keeps the powder fresh between feedings and makes portioning consistent every time. Made in the USA. Available in three blends, each formulated around a different nutritional focus.
The Leaf Blend is built around plant-based ingredients — wheat bran, alfalfa meal, oat flour, spinach powder, kale powder, dried nettle, chlorella, spirulina, and bee pollen — with calcium carbonate for exoskeleton support. It replicates the leaf litter and plant matter isopods naturally forage through in the wild and works well as a staple rotation food for colonies at any stage. The Veggie Blend adds carrot, pumpkin, and sweet potato alongside the base of wheat bran, alfalfa, oat flour, spirulina, and bee pollen, giving the colony a broader vegetable nutrient profile with natural sugars and carotenoids that support activity and color. The Protein Blend introduces black soldier fly larvae meal and cricket meal into the base formula alongside spirulina and bee pollen, delivering the animal protein that drives breeding activity, juvenile development, and population growth in active colonies.
This food was developed and refined while keeping thousands of isopods across multiple species in-house — the formula, particle size, and ingredient ratios reflect what actually produces healthy, active, and reproducing colonies rather than what looks good on paper. Rotate between blends throughout the week to give your colony a varied and complete diet across all three nutritional categories. Store each bag sealed in a cool dry place between feedings. Suitable for all commonly kept isopod species including Porcellio, Armadillidium, Porcellionides, and Cubaris, as well as millipede colonies and springtail cultures.
