Sponge filters are our favorite form of filtration as they tend to be lower cost to operate and are very easy to clean. 

Sponge filters are great for breeding shrimp or live fish. We have sponge filters in our guppy breeding tanks as they don't damage the fish. 

These filters will also be a great spot for bacteria to grow which will help keep your aquarium clean! It is also great for providing a place for shrimp to get food.
