Answered by real pet keeping experience.
Q How much should I use?
One level scoop — about 2cc — per 5 gallons of RO, DI, or distilled water, added before your water change. Mix it into the fresh water first, so you're always adding fully remineralized water to the tank. The included scoop keeps your dose the same every time.
Q Does this raise both GH and KH?
Yes. It raises general hardness (GH) and carbonate hardness (KH) together in a single step, so you don't need a separate GH mineral and a separate KH buffer. One scoop handles both.
Q What water should I mix it with?
It's made for remineralizing water that's had its minerals stripped out — RO, DI, or distilled. Adding it to your new water before a water change means the tank gets stable, consistent parameters instead of a swing.
Q Is the 3oz size enough for me?
The 3oz jar is a practical starting size for a single tank or a small shrimp room. It's meant to let you dial in your target parameters before committing to a larger quantity, and the resealable jar keeps the blend dry between uses.
