How Wild AI works

Wild AI

What it is, how to use it well, and the honest terms — no legalese wall, just how we mean for it to be used.

Message from our founder

Honestly? I'd rather answer every question myself — by chat, live, or email. But the truth is there's only one of me.

So I did the next best thing. I tried to bottle up what I know, plus everything I've learned over the years from other creators, blogs, and the forums I grew up on, and shape it into something that can answer you any time — tailored to the pets we actually keep.

I'd rather build something small and specific, and grow it slowly, than lean on the big AI companies that scrape everything and specialize in nothing. I want Wild AI to be genuinely good for these animals. That's the whole point.

Think of it like a phone book, not the final word

Wild AI is built to give you the headline information and point you toward the source, so you can go discover more yourself. Take what it says as a helpful nudge and a starting point — not gospel.

For common pets, it's strong. For unique, rare, or brand-new species, good data is genuinely hard to come by, and our AI is still learning those niches — so treat those answers as suggestions to research further, not settled facts. When something matters to your animal's health, verify it. And when in doubt, talk to a vet.

4,000+videos, podcasts, guides, articles & forum posts
VideosPodcastsCare guidesBlog articlesForum posts

We sourced over 4,000 videos, podcasts, guides, blog articles, and forum posts — with permission from the content owners — along with our own interpretation of the insight inside them. We use this to train our own AI model and to give the AI access to the raw data, videos, and files behind it.

That's why, while chatting, you may be handed a video, product, blog, or post to watch or visit. We'd rather point you to the source than keep it from you.

This data is never sold. It isn't shared with third parties and it isn't designed to be. We don't want to take away from creators — the creators enrolled in this program have granted permission and are credited for their contribution.

Plus the stuff only we know

Wild AI also has access to our store and our products, so it can learn them and showcase them at their fullest — including behind-the-scenes context you won't find on a label: why we made specific manufacturing decisions, and what we learned from testing. So you know why a product is the way it is.

Example · Gecko Nectar

An employee's crested gecko was lethargic. After hours of research and days studying how crested geckos eat and behave in the wild, we landed on fruit-nectar drops. Other keepers were feeding honey and loose fruit — so we made a preserved, long-lasting treat instead. That kind of context lives only in Wild AI.

Why you'll see product suggestions

Running this isn't free — the AI costs real money every time it answers a question. Pointing you to our products is how we cover that cost and keep the whole thing open to everyone. We only suggest something when it genuinely fits your situation.

This was never about replacing anyone. It's about being available to more keepers, more of the time. And if you'd rather talk to a human, we're one message away — feel free to reach out or leave a comment any time.

Who pays for this? We do.

We want every pet keeper to be able to learn and discover — so our YouTube videos, our short-form content, and this chat are all free. No logins. No paywall. No account required to use Wild AI.

If you want to support us, the best ways are simple: buy something you were going to need anyway, and share Wild AI with another keeper who'd find it useful. That's what keeps it free for the next person.

What Wild AI is not

Not veterinary care. Wild AI gives general keeping guidance. If an animal is sick, injured, or declining, please see a qualified exotics or aquatic vet.
Not customer service. For orders, shipping, returns, or account help, contact our team directly — the AI can't see your order.
Not always right. Like any AI, it can make mistakes. Double-check anything critical before you act on it, especially with a living animal.

Using Wild AI

By chatting with Wild AI, you agree to the following.
  • It's for information, not professional advice. Wild AI provides general, educational pet-keeping information — not veterinary, medical, legal, or emergency advice.
  • You're in charge of decisions for your animals. Verify anything important and consult a professional when it matters. We're not liable for outcomes from acting on AI suggestions.
  • Use it in good faith. No spam, abuse, automated scraping, attempts to break or manipulate it, or any unlawful use.
  • It's available to keepers in the United States. We only ship and support within the US.
  • Conversations may be saved and reviewed to improve Wild AI. Please don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.
  • Product suggestions are informational — helpful pointers, not guarantees of a specific result.
  • Wild AI may change or be unavailable. We may update, pause, or discontinue it at any time as we keep building.

Made by keepers, for keepers.
